Stone Veneers - Techno-Rock

"Techno-rock" stone veneers can be applied to any vertical surface that is sound and in good condition, either inside or outside the home.

Inside the home, "Techno-rock" can make a most attractive feature wall, fireplace or chimney surround, can enhance the den or the bar, or the base of the island bench in the kitchen.

Outside, you could change the façade of the whole house, build a decorative wall panel, liven up the portico, or build an attractive barbeque, gazebo or entertainment area. A stone-look retaining wall, or raised garden bed may not look out of place either. The uses of "Techno-rock" are only limited by one's imagination.

Country Stone produces "Techno-rock" which is a modular tiling system, manufactured from light-weight concrete, that replicates the look of 50mm dry-stacked stone walls. Each stone strip of our tiling system was molded from real rocks, giving a realistic stone texture in an easy to use and versatile stone veneer product. It is 20-30% lighter than real stone, and being relatively thin, (20-45mm), can be used to adorn any vertical surface without costly foundations. Building with "Techno-rock" is just like playing with big boys' Lego; each tile, half tile and external corner stone interlock, thus making it extremely difficult to distinguish where one tile ends, and another begins. This is a unique feature of our product, and greatly enhances its visual appeal.

Techno-rock Stone Veener comes in five colours:

1. CHARCOAL LAVA STONE is a dark grey base colour with splashes of lighter grey tones.  This stone also features a few gas bubbles of various sizes, just as they occur in rapidly cooled lava flows.
2. DOVER LIMESTONE is a warm off-white with just a hint of pure white, and delicate pastel tones.
3. WEATHERED SANDSTONE is a pleasant neutral mid-brown, with subtle earthy overtones.
4. HARD SHALE is lighter than the Weathered Sandstone, and leans toward pale grey/light brown.
5. SLATE GREY is a light grey base colour with a smattering of lighter and darker grey overtones.

All colours blend nicely with either traditional or contemporary décor.

Installation "Techno-rock" tiles can be applied to just about any vertical surface. Actually, even the old galvanized iron chook shed can be given a face-lift. For general applications, we recommend using a cement-based flexible tile adhesive, such as "A.B.A Super Tileset", "Davco S.E.7," or "Warren's Super Flexcrete". You can easily do the installation yourself, or any tiler, builder, or brick-layer will be happy to quote for this job. See here for our quick D.I.Y. Sizes and Packaging of Stone Veneers FULL TILES: 500 x 250mm +/-2mm, (8 tiles per square metre), packaged in ½ square metre lots. (approx. 26kg per pack)     HALF TILES: 250 x 250mm +/-2mm, packaged 4 per pack.     CORNER STONES: 250mm high, (4 per lineal metre)     FILLER STRIPS: 50mm x 260-280mm, available singly, or in boxes of 20 strips. (5 strips equals the height of a modular tile section/course.)
